How is it May already? The year has flown by and as we wind down the school year things seem more hectic than ever. Please review the upcoming calendar of events and know that I try to put the bigger events on this list. Each grade level has its field trips and presentations. Grade-level specific information should be communicated through your student's teacher. This is a perfect opportunity to remind everyone of the importance of daily attendance. When students come to school late, or miss school days toward the end of the year, it is extremely hard to catch them up or they miss activities altogether. Please push through the end of the year with perfect attendance, it will help set your student/s up for success next year. Lastly, I want to acknowledge this week is teacher/staff appreciation week and our PTO does a wonderful job of recognizing our educators' efforts. A huge thank you goes out to everyone who has helped to plan and support staff appreciation activities. The educational team at Corona is amazing and I feel very lucky I get to work with such dedicated professionals. Sonoma County Teacher of the Month- Mr. Steeves!
During a recent assembly, Mr. Steeves was recognized by the Sonoma County Office of Education in conjunction with Froggy 92.9 as being the teacher of the month for the county! Mr. Steeves is very deserving of this recognition as he has made a positive impact on so many lives over the years. Thank you Mr. Steeves for your tireless dedication to serving students at CCE!
