Corona Creek Family Newsletter
Principal Message: Mr. Bennett Holley

How is it May already? The year has flown by and as we wind down the school year things seem more hectic than ever. Please review the upcoming calendar of events and know that I try to put the bigger events on this list. Each grade level has its field trips and presentations. Grade-level specific information should be communicated through your student's teacher. This is a perfect opportunity to remind everyone of the importance of daily attendance. When students come to school late, or miss school days toward the end of the year, it is extremely hard to catch them up or they miss activities altogether. Please push through the end of the year with perfect attendance, it will help set your student/s up for success next year.
Lastly, I want to acknowledge this week is teacher/staff appreciation week and our PTO does a wonderful job of recognizing our educators' efforts. A huge thank you goes out to everyone who has helped to plan and support staff appreciation activities. The educational team at Corona is amazing and I feel very lucky I get to work with such dedicated professionals.

Safe Routes to School

Additionally, I want to review a couple of drop-off and pick-up procedures we need everyone to follow to ensure traffic is flowing smoothly and in a safe manner.
- When dropping off or picking up in front of the school, please remain in your car and let your student/s walk to their entrance.

- Red zones are areas to be kept open at all times. They are red for a reason and should not be utilized as a parking space.
- Parents who park and walk their student/s to school should cross the parking lot at our crosswalk. Please do not walk in front of cars unless you are in the crosswalk.
- Lastly, the road that extends to the back of our school is for staff parking and busses.  Students should not be dropped off or picked up back there. (This does not pertain to WKC families)
Thank you for observing all traffic and safety laws!
