Meadow News for the Week of February 16, 2026

Message from Mrs. Haugen

Earlier this week, Merrie Rivera, Principal of Corona Creek, shared her decision to resign from her position. At this time, Ms. Rivera is choosing to prioritize her personal well-being and her family. We are grateful for her service to the students, staff, and families of the Waugh School District and wish her the very best moving forward.

During this interim period, Mr. Gardner, our Superintendent, and I will serve as site administrators at Corona Creek. Mr. Gardner will take the lead on most days. On most of the days I am at Corona Creek, he will be working from Meadow and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Other administrators and school leaders will also be part of the coverage plan when I need to be off campus.

Please know that my primary focus remains Meadow School — our students, staff, and families. You may continue to reach me through our usual channels: email, ParentSquare, or by stopping by the office. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out.

It's Time for Spring Planting!

Spring is around the corner, and it's almost time to spread more drought tolerant and wildflower seeds. We are requesting seed donations so that each student can spread them in our wildflower garden with Miss Leslie and her parent volunteers. The dollar store has seeds as well as Friedman's. One packet, four packets or a large bag--we will have a box in the office to collect your generous seed donations! Thank you in advance!
