 Message from Mrs. Haugen

 Wednesday, August 13th is fast approaching!  We are so excited to greet   everyone back at school! Parents and guardians are welcome to come on   campus for the first day's drop off. When you hear the bell around 8:15am, say   goodbye and see you soon then off you go! Then on Thursday, the   goodbyes   happen near the office and off they go on their own!
 TK/K families will enter through the green gate adjacent to the parking lot near   the TK/K playground.  TK students have a "soft start" each morning at 8am   and   head straight into their classrooms.  Kindergarten students enter the   playground  at 8am and have supervised play and conversation until school   begins.
 Everyone is dismissed at 12:30 on the first day of school. TK/K students will   have lunch during the school day, and all other grade levels are welcome to   have school lunch in the multi at dismissal or eat their lunch at home. WKC will   supervise lunch for their students after dismissal.
This is a longer message than my usual Monday post you'll receive through the   year.  Back to School is full of information and activities.  Thanks for reading t   through it all carefully.  Call the office or reach out here with questions.


Class Posting is Friday, August 8th from 4-6pm in front of the Meadow Office.  You can see where your student has been placed for the 2025-2026 school year, meet our PTO and join this amazing organization, reconnect with friends and enjoy a Kona Ice (available for purchase).

TK/K Welcome is Tuesday, August 12th

Now that your TK or Kindergarten student knows their teacher (after class posting on Friday), come and say hello from 2:00-2:45pm on Tuesday! See the classroom, learn where backpacks go and where your student's cubby is in the classroom.  Talk about the plan for the first day of school and generally get the lay of the land to make the transition to school as smooth as possible.


School Supplies Drop Off

School Supplies can be dropped off on Friday during Class Posting in the multi use room.  There will be tables labeled with grade levels. Please label your student's supplies and place on the correct table.  Extra items like wipes, paper towels, tissue and copy paper can go on the MPR stage.  Thank you so much!  The multi will also be open for TK/K Welcome and the first day of school for supplies drop off.

Aeries Data Confirmation Coming Soon!

Soon, you will receive a message prompting you to complete the Aeries Data Confirmation process. This is a critical step to ensure a safe and smooth start to the school year for all students.
During this process, you’ll have the opportunity to:
  • Update your contact information (email, address, phone numbers)
  • Confirm who is authorized to pick up your child in case of illness or emergency
  • Provide any important health updates
Please set aside 15-20 minutes to complete this important task once the communication arrives.
As part of the process, you’ll be asked to review documents such as our Parent Handbook. If you would like a printed copy, they are available in the school office.
You’ll also be asked to consider permissions related to your child, including consent for the use of their photo in our local newspapers, on our school website, or on our Instagram page.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this essential back-to-school step.
 
HELP WANTED:  We need a parent to help keep our marquee updated.  The front office can help with what to post, and the letters/numbers are stored in the office.  This could be a weekday task or even a weekend task.  Flexibility is key!  Reach out if this is of interest to you.
