Message from Mrs. Haugen

At each monthly assembly, we focus on not only responsibility, respect, kindness, and safety, but also on an additional life skill. Last month was creativity, and this month we'll focus on perseverance. As the school year wraps up, we want students to "stick with it." The subjects that present a challenge--stick with it! Projects that you love or don't love--stick with it! Moving to a new reading level and encountering big words--stick with it! When your dance class gets harder, when the bat isn't hitting the ball as you'd expect, or when friendships are rocky--stick with it! You're welcome to use this at home, too, if your students' focus, energy, and engagement with school wanes. We can persevere and get the most possible out of this school year!
