Please be mindful that dogs are not allowed on campus.  The interior sidewalks along the office and multi are part of our campus.  We have a number of students who are afraid of dogs.  Thank you for supporting all students to have a calm and safe arrival and dismissal each school day.

Lost & Found
Lost & Found

Fall is here.... the leaves are turning, the weather is cooling down, the days are getting shorter and the lost & found is FULL. Cool mornings and warm afternoons mean abandoned sweatshirts all over campus. The Lost & Found will be out front on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week. Swing by to claim a sweatshirt, sweater, water bottle, or lunch bag.

Happy Halloween!!

Halloween is fast approaching, and we are here for it!! Students may wear their costumes to school on Thursday, October 31st. Please no weapons or costumes that are overly scary. Be mindful of our 4 and 5-year-old Hawks on campus. Students should be able to have a successful day at school--in a chair, out at recess, and moving around campus. Consider the more complicated costumes or costume parts for just the parade or in the evening.
Parade Plans:
1:15 pm: TK/K parade around the quad.
2:00 pm: 1st-6th grade parade around the quad

Parents are welcome to join us on campus to enjoy the parades. Check-in at the office for a wristband.

Ruby Bridges Day- November 6th

Six-year-old Ruby Bridges stepped into the history books in 1960 when she integrated William Franz Elementary School in New Orleans becoming a national icon for the civil rights movement. Today, her story continues to inspire the next generation of leaders to end racism together, one step at a time.

Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day started with a group of AAA School Safety Patrollers from Martin Elementary in South San Francisco. Nearly 60 years later, when they heard about Ruby's courage and bravery for the first time, they thought there should be a day to commemorate the movement she started. These students took their idea to the state legislature, and Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day is recognized by the State of California each year.

Now, schools across California and the United States continue to honor Ruby's legacy in their own way, including by celebrating Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day during the month of November.
